Welcome
Founded on in 1932, the St. Patrick’s Missionary Society has spent more than ninety years sharing the Gospel and answering Christ’s call to mission:
“Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And know that I am with you always, yes, to the end of time.”
— Matthew 28:19–20
The Society first came to the United States in 1954 to promote awareness and support for our missionary work throughout Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. Our first American house was established in Camden Town, New Jersey, before relocating to Chicago in 1968, where we continue our ministry today.
While the promotion and support of our overseas missions remain at the heart of our work, the St. Patrick’s Missionary Society has also maintained a proud tradition of serving the wider Irish community in Chicago through pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and community outreach.
