Sunday, November 29th
1st Sunday of Advent
Today, on the first Sunday of Advent, I will spend a few extra minutes in prayer.
Gospel: Mark 13:33-37

Wednesday, December 2nd
Today we pray for peace in war torn countries and areas of conflict. Amen.

Saturday, December 5th
Today we pray for all families, that they be united in God’s love. Amen.

Tuesday, December 8th
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of
Our Lady.
Gospel: Luke 1:26-38

Friday, December 11th
We pray for those who are struggling and we ask the Lord to keep them in his care. Amen.

Monday, December 14th
Today I will be thankful for what I have and not complain about anything!

Thursday, December 17th
Today I will work hard and do my best in all I do!

Sunday, December 20th
4th Sunday of Advent
Let us try to imitate Joseph and Mary, the greatest-ever believers in God’s goodness and mercy. We can never hope to equal them, but we can follow them humbly, from afar.

Wednesday, December 23rd
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, let us be mindful that many people will be struggling to put food on their tables. Bless the work of those running food banks and centres; move us to give to them as generously as we can. Amen.

Monday, November 30th
We pray for the homeless and all those living in emergency accommodation. Amen.

Thursday, December 3rd
We give thanks and praise for fathers, young and old. We remember fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory. Amen.

Sunday, December 6th
2nd Sunday of Advent
Today I will try to show kindness and love to someone who seems unhappy or lonely.
Gospel: Mark 1:1-8

Wednesday, December 9th
We pray for all those suffering from Covid-19, that they will make a full recovery. Amen.

Saturday, December 12th
The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We ask Mary to make room for Jesus in our hearts. Amen.
Gospel: Matthew 17:10-13

Tuesday, December 15th
Today I will light a candle and remember those who are not with us this Christmas. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Friday December 18th
We give thanks and praise for mothers, young and old. We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen.

Monday, December 21st
Lord, today we ask you to hold closely young people who are struggling with everyday life. Let them see how much they are valued and loved. Amen.

Thursday, December 24th
Christmas Eve
Lord Jesus, give us courage to live the life you offer us, and let your light shine in our lives. Bless the people of Bethlehem, and all who live in the lands in which you lived and walked. Bring them peace. Amen.

Tuesday, December 1st
World AIDS Day. We pray for all those suffering from this disease and for all those who have lost their lives to it.

Friday, December 4th
We ask Mary to watch over all those who are sick this Christmas and to support those who care for them at home and in hospitals. Amen.

Monday, December 7th
For doctors, nurses and carers. It has been a difficult year for healthcare workers. We give thanks for them and ask Our Lady to watch over them and their families.

Thursday, December 10th
Today I will look at the beauty of the world around me. I will give thanks by making an extra effort to care for our earth and look after the world that God gave us.

Sunday, December 13th
3rd Sunday of Advent
Today I will find a quiet place and sit for a few minutes, letting God into my heart.
Gospel: John 1:6-8,19-28

Wednesday, December 16th
Today we pray for all who are housebound and for all those in care facilities. Amen.

Saturday, December 19th
Today we pray for children all over the world. Dear Lord shelter them and hear their prayers. Amen.

Tuesday, December 22nd
Today we pray for all those living with dementia. May they know in their hearts God’s comforting embrace and continue to realise, as names and memories fade, that they are loved by family, friends, and especially by you. Amen.

Friday, December 25th
Christmas Day
May Jesus light in our hearts, love, hope and peace. With Mary and Joseph we rejoice in the birth of Jesus. May we welcome Christ as they did. Amen.
